Hotel Monaco Philadelphia Rolls Out the Red Carpet for a One-of-a-Kind Celebration
October 11, 2012 Philadelphia, PA – Over 125 bicyclists, enlisted with the help of Keswick Cycles, met at City Hall and pedaled in a police-escorted pro- cession to the front door of the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia dedication ceremony. Awaiting them was a red ribbon, held by two of the hotel’s bellmen. Immediately following, guests and passersby were treat- ed to a surprise bike flash mob performance, choreo- graphed by anonymous bodies, to a remix of the disco era’s “Ring My Bell.” The focus on bicycles nods to the hotel’s commitment to wellness and the local commu- nity; the hotel provides complimentary bicycles for guest use. And the song choice is a reference to the hotel’s close proximity to the Liberty Bell.
