The Chester County Conference and Visitors Bureau recently combined its administrative offices with its Tourism Information Center on the grounds of Longwood Gardens.

In 1989, the Chester County Conference and Visitors Bureau took over the Longwood Progressive Meeting House for use as a tourist information center. The Longwood Progressive Meeting, built in 1855, was the meeting place for Quakers who were activists in the Underground Railroad and other social causes of the day. Now in 2012, after a renovation pre- serving the historic nature of the building, the CVB’s administrative staff has also moved into the building.
