within Glasgow’s creative hub, the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA). It was an entirely new format

for an event, driven by the success stories of our members. Te second instalment will take place at the CCA, on the morning of Friday 7 December 2012. Te focus of the first event was
on issues raised by Chamber members, paying particular atention to areas that mater to business, such as market research, sourcing funding and business growth. Aſter all, it is mastering these areas that allows ventures to thrive. Hosted by TV personality
Alison Walker, the conference featured short presentations by no less than 16 business leaders whose firms have enjoyed recent growth and in some cases diversification. Airlink Group’s John McGlynn and Tim Wright of twintangibles
e held our first ever CROWD conference in June 2012,
were the keynote speakers for the day, accompanied on the podium by recognised names from the city’s business community including Nicola Taylor of Chardon Management, WEST Brewery’s Petra Wetzel, Varry McMenemy of Bellcom, Kim Lowe of John Lewis, Mike Smith of Orb Group and Nucoco’s Victor Brierley, each given 10 minutes to share their story – and their secrets. CROWD is an opportunity to
use these tales of success as a catalyst to generate debate, stimulate ideas and lead to action among members to help their business operate with increased competiveness. CROWD has also built on the
