STAND-UP MASTER TOM STADE RETURNS TO GLEE CLUB
Wednesday 16 May 2012 Due to phenomenal public demand, one of the comedy circuit’s fastest rising stars is set to return to Oxford in May. Canadian Tom Stade first came to prominence on the debut series of BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow with his infamous ‘Meat Van’ routine. Following high-profile appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo and Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week, Stade has now extended his popular
nationwide tour for a second time with a date at Oxford’s Glee Club on Wednesday 16th May. Glee Club comedy promoter Duncan Burns
said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tom back to The Glee. He sold out his last date with us in 2011 and it was a strong candidate for our show of the year. £15.00 advance (£13 NUS advance)

BANBURY JAZZ CLUB RE-OPENS! A PHOENIX RISES FROM THE ASHES!
After some five years Banbury Jazz Club is up and running again; once more in the care of local saxophonist Pete Lay and Dee, his wife. The club will meet on the first Sunday of each month at Fabio’s Restorante Italiano in North Bar, Banbury. There’s plenty of parking nearby (free after 7pm), the bar in the venue will be open - but not the kitchen - and some great jazz will be on offer from 7.30pm until 10pm.
The first meeting is on 1st April and will feature Pete with his new Quartet, Bruce Boardman on keyboard, bassist Tony Kilkenny and drummer Tony Augarde. Membership is not necessary, but there is a small admission charge.
