Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo’s Full Schedule Now Available!


April 27, 2012 - The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived. The 2012 line-up of Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo clinicians has been announced for this June 8, 9 and 10 at Iron Horse Equestri- an Complex - check www.EquineExpo.ca for details.


A group of Canadians rounds off this year’s list of clinics and demonstrations including: Jumping champion Grant Field from Stouffville; Eventing instructor M.H. Lessard from Orangeville; Hunter/Jumper judge Kim Kir- ton from Palgrave; and horse- manship expert Brittany Buchanan from Carleton Place. With their diverse back- grounds, each of these Canadi- an experts brings unique exper- tise to the table. Add to that some American pros like Dres- sage coach Jane Savoie - and the expertise becomes world- class.


“The equestrian sport is simple – it is riding that is not easy,” says Grant. “There is a Zen element to practicing the basics over and over until they blossom into greater abilities


Mac Cone, Ken Denouden, Hans Renz, Andrew Dalnoki and Ian Millar. During these years, Grant had a successful show career, provincially, nationally, and internationally in the Hunter ring through to the Junior Hunters and in the Jumper ring through to the Grand Prix level. It was also during this time that Grant was selected to compete with the Canadian Young Riders Show Jumping Team for two consec- utive years.


Since opening his Deer- field Farm, he has trained hors- es and coached riders from beginner through to the Grand Prix level. He is the current Chair of the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) Horse Facili- ties Council and the Ontario Coaching Committee, as well as Second Vice-President on the OEF Board of Directors. He is also Chair of the Equine Canada English Coaching and National Coaching Commit- tees, and a member of the Long-Term Equestrian Devel- opment Committee.
