NBHA Canada News
It looks like show season is finally here! By the time you read this, we should have had our Spring Thaw. With the addition of the Green As Grass classes for the begin- ners, or those that haven’t won $1000 barrel racing, we are hoping to see plenty more new faces. You are always wel- come to come out and try out our classes at any of our shows except finals for free! No day pass charges! Stop
by the entry booth at any of our shows and chat with us. We would love to meet new people and we can answer any of the questions you may have.
We are very happy to announce District 1 has a sanc- tioned show September 15 at the Welland Fair. It will have a $1000 added open 4-D, and an open polebending NPBA co-sanctioned. There will also be a youth polebending. We haven’t had one of those in a long time. Once the entry forms have been finalized we will be posting them on the
NBHACanada.com website. Should be a great time so mark that on your calendars and come have some run and good runs.
As you may have noticed we now have directors in all 4 districts. Kathy Richards remains as District 4 director, Laurie Fisher is our new District 3 Director, Denise Stoddard is our new District 2 director and Amy Fothering- ham is our new District 1Director. If you haven any questions, or would like to have a show in any of our districts, please get in touch with your director. The website will be updated short- ly to reflect all these changes. We have started a membership
drive this year. There is more informa- tion online about it, but the member who gets the most new or returning members signed back up is going to get freebies at the Finals. We also have our sponsorship package online, where there are different amounts of sponsor- ship and it also shows what the Athlete portion of it is. We can tailor any sponsorship amount to best suit the business that you obtain. Please email me or give me a call if you have a sponsor, or need help talking to a spon- sor. The same goes for new shows. There is also a portion in the new Sponsorship package for show hosts to get a credit towards an Athlete portion for the dollars that their show gives to NBHA! This is new this year, and something we are trying that came from a conversation directly with show hosts. Any ideas that anyone has, please don't hesitate to run them by us! I am always open to new ideas.

Most of our polebending classes this year will be co-sanctioned with the National Pole Bending Association. You can get a membership application online at their website www.polebend-
ing.org. Their finals will be held June 29th-July 1, 2012, Central Kentucky Ag & Expo, Liberty, Kentucky. You can contact Joanne Fisher at jfish-
er5577@rogers.com for more informa- tion
We should soon be having our Canada Day Entry form out on the website. It is looking like it will be a lot of fun. Don’t forget your running shoes, and get yourself in shape for our very popular Foot Races. We will again be having the different age brackets, so no excuses. Its a fun time to get together after a day of showing, have some beverages and snacks and a few laughs. Our Finals this year we are going to Clinton REACH for the first time.
That promises to be a great show as Finals always are.
