3. 1.75 miles/2.75km Follow the track as it swings sharply to the right, from where a couple of short climbs leads through open countryside with expansive views extending across East Renfrewshire to the undulating Beith Hills. The track then swings left with another short climb continuing to reach a junction.


4. To visit the summit, lock your bike and take the narrow path leading left at the wooden signpost. The path, sometimes boggy, turns left at a bench to reach a wall beneath the summit from where there are good views. Return to your bike and continue left along the stoney track underneath Neilston Pad passing through three gates.


5. 3 miles/5 km Pass through the third gate into the field being aware that there may be cows. The outbound path is soon reached, retrace tracks past the farm to return to Neilston.
