reaches a roundabout. Turns left onto Humbie Road, go right at the next roundabout, continue underneath the A726 then left at a third roundabout. Descend Humbie Road into Eaglesham at Glasgow Road. Turn right, cycle through the village, turn right onto Polnoon Street where a steep climb reaches a roundabout at Moor Road. Turn right, follow Moor Road, which has several steep climbs, for 5.25 miles, passing Whitelee Windfarm end route, to the A77.
4. 15.75miles/25.25km Carefully cross the A77, turn right and follow the cycle lane for 6.5 miles to reach Mearns Cross at Newton Mearns. Turn left into Barrhead Road where a steep descent and ascent reaches a roundabout. Go straight through, cross a bridge over the M77 to a set of traffic lights. Turn left onto Stewarton Road (B769) and continue for 1.25 miles, and turn right onto Craigton Road. This road undulates through open countryside by Walton Dam onto Springhill Road. A steep climb leads to Kirkton Road. Turn left and descend into Neilston.
5. 27.5miles/44.25km Turn right onto Kingston Road then left onto Station Road, passing Neilston Railway Station. Turn left, follow Main Street out of Neilston along Uplawmoor Road for 3 miles, before Uplawmoor, turn right descending to Shilford and Lochlibo Road (A736). Carefully cross and climb steeply turning right at Banklug, cycle for 5.5 miles through Barrhead to Dovecot Roundabout. Turn right onto Aurs road where a steep ascent climbs to Dams to Darnley Country Park at Balgray Reservoir.
6. 35miles/56.25km At a lay-by, bear left through a gate, descend a track to a junction, turn left, follow the track by Ryat Linn, descend underneath a railway bridge to Waulkmill Reservoir. Turn left, cycle to a fork, bear left and descend through Waulkmill Glen to Darnley. Turn right onto Nitshill Road (A727) and follow this busy road for one mile to Speirsbridge Roundabout. Turn left, cycle through Thornliebank. Just before Thornliebank Railway Station turn right onto Orchard Park Avenue. The road climbs out of Thornliebank & continues onto Orchard Drive back to Giffnock.
