BAL Microflex is the perfect grout for walls in areas where anti-bacterial protection is a ‘must have’ property, especially in areas such as showers and swimming pools, which may be subject to a risk of black mould forming. BAL Microflex incorporates Microban, the patented anti-bacterial technology. Built-in at the point of manufacture, Microban becomes an intrinsic part of the product matrix and inhibits the growth of potentially harmful bacteria such as
E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria
and
S.aureus. This offers protection against the growth of mould and mildew, which can cause stains, odours and surface deterioration. The protection neither wipes off nor wears away with use. Tel: 01782 591100

BAL White Star is the ideal ready-mixed tile adhesive for internal walls. Its versatility, suiting a wide range of applications, makes it the “fixers’ friend” among ready-mixes. Professionals routinely keep a tub handy, to avoid a trip to their stockist. “Sooner or later,” says one experienced fixer, “you use BAL White Star.” Ready-to-use BAL White Star is easy to apply and, being non-slip, removes the need for battens to hold tiles in place. A wide choice of tub sizes – 2.5 litres, 5 litres and 10
litres – allows it to be specified for any job. The smallest tub will tile a small kitchen splashback without waste, while the largest will cover a full 6.6 m2 of dry wall. It can be used for almost any commercial or domestic application indoors. Tel: 01782 591100

Larger format tiles provide greater choice
The new range of ceramic wall tiles from British Ceramic Tile not only increases the choice of designs available but also the choice of size. The Dorchester collection (pictured) is available in a large 30x60cm format and includes six soft glossy marbles as well as a new satin stone effect. The tiles can be used in a variety of retail or contract environments and work well in either a horizontal or vertical layout. The subtle grey veining of the Carrara White brings a touch of classical marble to the bathroom, while the beige hues of the Calacatta help to provide a soothing, restful feel. The warm tones of the Onyx Beige envelop your senses and create a spa like feel, whereas the cooling feel of the Onyx White & Grey can enhance a contemporary living environment. Sandstone and Travertine are both popular designs but the colours and details have been updated to reflect the latest styles. The natural textures have been inspired by the rugged landscape that surrounds British Ceramic Tile.
