facilitated a speedy and simple installation of a new glass balustrade system at London’s Imperial War Museum. The Museum opened its newly refurbished Lord Ashcroft Gallery recently and the TAPER-LOC™
System was
used to ease installation of a glass balustrade system within the gallery, which was sup- plied and installed by entrance and security
specialists, System2000 Group. C.R. Laurence’s beautiful frameless, dry glaze balustrade system enabled System2000 to install 19mm toughened glass with accuracy, speed and efficiency, giving clean lines and a seamless finish to the final installation.

A colourful start for Falmer Academy On the site of the former Falmer High School now stands the new £28 million Falmer Academy. CEP Ceilings Limitedwere able to offer a complete range of speciality sequence baffles that satisfied both the architects, acousticians and the main contractor. Competitively priced, the multicoloured baffles blend together to form a stunning visual backdrop to the ceilings in the main halls and atrium areas. Sequence planks were also used in the common part walkways, and standard CEP ceiling tiles were used in all other locations within the stunning new building. The CEP range of tiles and differing sized baffles provided a wide choice of aesthetic options for designers.

Ventrolla brings building back to life The original and oldest part of the University of Sheffield has been revived with the help of sash window specialist, Ventrolla South Yorkshire. Ventrolla renovated a total of 32 pre- viously broken sash windows in the Sir Frederick Mappin Building, improving the con- dition of the timber windows and reducing draughts. The large project has helped to trans- form the building from a redundant lab, that now houses a number of state of the art meeting rooms. While restoring the sash
windows, the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System was also installed, improving the energy efficiency of the windows by eradicating draughts and rattles. Bryan Evans from the University of Sheffield Estates said: “The renovation has had a huge impact and the building now looks more beautiful than ever.”
