Guildhall roof gets solvent free with Kemperol The City of London has specified Kemper System’s Kemperol 2K-PUR solvent-free, wet-on-wet waterproofing system for the refurbishment of the historic Guildhall’s west wing. The project involves installa- tion of the Kemperol 2K-PUR membrane across a 1,000m² area of the west wing’s roof, which is very detailed and complex. In addition to architectural features, the roof also has a number of air conditioning

service units on it and is in an area of the building close to an exterior courtyard with windows to all sides so any strong-smelling solvent-based systems would cause unpleasant odours within the building.

Renolit Exofol Premier Wisconsin XD – distinctive walnut design

Elegant Wisconsin XD is a traditional nut brown walnut design, which is perfectly proportioned for window profiles. This darkly coloured walnut combines traditional with contemporary, giving classic walnut with a modern twist. It portrays widely spaced cathedrals with evenly toned almost indiscernible planks which are detailed with occasional minute char- acter knots blended together perfectly in this high-class design. Winchester XD benefits not only from the latest in design development but also incorporates the technical advantage of SST (solar shield technology) to protect against heat and sunlight. SST helps ensure that profiles retain their dimensional stability even when exposed to strong sunlight. The current Renolit Exofol MX range comprises of almost 70 different decors and solid colours, which are divided into two collections. Renolit Exofol MX Premier showcases the latest designs with more modern colours, print effects and sur- faces, and the most sophisticated new developments, while Renolit Exofol MX Classic consists of traditional colours and woodgrains. The Renolit Group is an international leader in the manufacture of high-quality plastic films and related prod- ucts for technical applications. This independent family-run business has been setting benchmarks for quality and innova- tion for over 60 years.

Study shows 40 per cent savings An independent cost comparison study of non- load bearing fire rated compartment and partition walls has shown cost savings of up to 40 per cent per m² for Firemaster panel solutions, man- ufactured by Eurobond Laminates, when com- pared to conventional jumbo stud and blockwork constructions. The report by cost consultants Faithful+Gould looked at current costs for walls in two common applications and used data from the company’s cost database and relevant information from a sample of approved contrac-

tors. Commenting on the results of the study Chris Hassett, Firemaster sales manager, said: “This cost research confirms the feedback we have received from contractors and designers who have found out for themselves the benefits of a Firemaster solution.”
