Guildford is a vibrant bustling market town, renowned for its rich heritage, excellent shopping, restaurants and entertainment, and attracts both visitors and businesses from all over the world.


This is the year of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and our superb sporting facilities have attracted several of the competing nations to choose Guildford as their base in the run up to and during the Games. We are also looking forward to welcoming the Olympic Torch to the town.


The historic town is dominated by the Guildhall, with its ornate clock that overhangs the famous cobbled High Street. The quaint side streets have some exciting restaurants and unique independent shops, whilst the High Street boasts most well known brands – and with three undercover shopping malls, it’s the place to hit the shops whatever the weather.
