Olympic Road Cycling Races Saturday 28 July 2012 (men’s) Sunday 29 July 2012 (women’s) The world’s top cyclists will pass through various parts of the county including our breathtaking countryside.


Olympic Cycling Time Trial Wednesday 1 August 2012 The time trial route will start at Hampton Court Palace, and pass through Elmbridge. There will be road closures on July 28th, 29th and 1st August 2012 so plan your journey well in advance. Olympic Torch Relay Friday 20 July 2012 The torch arrives in Surrey on 20th July and will be the focus of a spectacular evening event at Stoke Park, Guildford.


Cultural Olympiad Forgotten Festivals


The Forgotten Festivals project brings together a varied mix of existing traditions and new celebrations of our local history throughout 2012, co- ordinated by Arts Partnership Surrey. More information and a Calendar of Events is available via www.artspartnershipsurrey.org.uk


International Flag Exchange Project Inspired by the 2012 Games, Surrey schools and schools across the globe participated in this project, under the direction of Surrey Arts. The flags will be carried in procession and used to create spectacular installations to feature at 2012 celebrations including the Olympic Cycle Race and the torch relay event at Stoke Park on 20th July. www.gosurrey. info/flags


Surrey Artist Open Studios www.surreyopenstudios.org.uk Surrey Artists Open Studios is an established annual event where artists and makers from across the county open their doors to the public. During June and July, visitors can meet artists, gain an
