Watts Gallery, a national Gallery in the heart of a village and star of BBC Restoration Village, has re- opened after a major restoration. Housing a collection of works by the eminent Victorian artist, G.F. Watts, it is one of the most beautiful small galleries in Europe. There are a number of special exhibitions throughout the year. For 2012 the major exhibitions are ‘G.F. Watts - Hall of Fame: Portraits of his Great Contemporaries’, ‘Dickens and the Artists’ and ‘William De Morgan’. The nearby Watts Chapel is an Arts and Crafts masterpiece, full of Art Nouveau imagery and designed by Mary Watts. Why not take tea at the traditional Tea Shop as part of your visit?
