WELCOME, NEW TRUSTEE PHILIP CHEN ’90
Philip Chen ’90 joins the Chadwick Board of Trustees for a second time, having served previously in 1996-1997. He currently serves as vice chairman of Prime Wheel Corporation, the second largest automotive wheel manufacturer in the United States. He brings a sound business knowledge of strategic planning, marketing, sales, and management to the Board team. Having spent a large part of his career working with major technology firms,
Chen is especially interested in interactive educational technology and how to bring it to the Chadwick School classroom. A Chadwick “WOW,” Chen was involved in multiple activities while at Chadwick.
He was a two-sport athlete, playing basketball and tennis. He also enjoyed writing for Te Mainsheet, pursuing photography and music, and
serving the community as an Admiral and a member of the Rainbow Connection. Chen received his Master of Business Administration from MIT’s Sloan School
of Management; and earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He resides in Palos Verdes Estates with his wife, Colleen Slattery, and his children, Ryan ’23 and Sean, age 3.
