Anita Shier Bruton, Upper School Science Teacher Anita Shier Bruton is not a stranger to Chadwick since she served as a long-term substitute for Tori Fay last fall. Shier Bruton earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in aquatic biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Master of Arts degree in geography with a concentration in biogeography from the University of Hawaii. She has over ten years of teaching experience, most recently at Tacoma Community College in Washington State.


Peter Cappello, Upper School AP Computer Science Skilled in the Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems, Cappello is fluent in a wide range of languages and platforms, including Java, SQL, and Eclipse. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Arizona and is slated to receive his Master of Science degree in computer science from California State University, Long Beach in December 2011.


Cinda deCordova, Middle School History Cinda deCordova has taught history for 15 years, most


recently at Gardena High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Southern California, and is currently earning her Master of Arts degree in U.S. history from DePaul University.


Will Didinger, Physical Education Teacher and Water Polo Coach


Didinger received his Bachelor of Arts degree in international development from the University of California, Los Angeles. While there, he was an NCAA champion in men’s water polo, lettering for four years and also serving as team captain and starting goalie. On the national level, Didinger was also goalie for the USA Water Polo Junior National Team. He has served as a lifeguard and program instructor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department since 2003.


Robert Evans, Middle and Upper School History Evans most recently served as assistant principal and director of diversity at St. Louis University High School. Prior to that position, he taught social studies at both middle and upper (Continued on page 4)
