curiosity, friendliness, self-confidence, and willingness to embrace all that is new and different in the United States and on the Chadwick campus. Since arriving, the students have

participated in such Chadwick events as Sixth-grade Sandal Camp, the opening day assembly,* and the sixth grade’s annual week-long trip to the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI). Te CI students presented traditional Korean giſts on behalf of CI to Headmaster Ted Hill on opening day in front of an audience of 845 fellow students. Whether learning to snorkel at CIMI,

trying out new foods, tackling homework, or getting to know their fellow sixth-graders, the

Fab Five have handled it all with aplomb. Te Chadwick Community is looking forward to a year of mutual learning and growth as we celebrate the inauguration of student exchanges between our two campuses. Te Compass caught up with our sixth-

grade CI students during Sandal Camp to garner their first impressions of California and Chadwick School.
