SUNTRAP MAKES SPANISH IMPACT WITH BUDGET PRICED LIFT

Suntrap Systems from Birmingham took part in the Piscina exhibition for the first time sharing a stand with GMT Spas and Filters4Spas. Suntrap displayed their popular budget-priced manual EZ Lift with its moulded seat option and Rover Transporter, designed to move a disabled user from the changing area to poolside before being lifted into the pool. Suntrap also demonstrated their fully automatic battery-powered Portable Pro Lift which requires no poolside fixings – this attracted considerable interest due to its compact balanced design providing independence and ease of use.

The novelty of showing an above-ground Spa Lift alongside one of the spas displayed was much appreciated by people attending, and attracted the attention of many spa and pool distributors as this was the first time this type of disabled pool hoist has been shown at the Piscina exhibition in Barcelona.

Suntrap Systems were delighted with the interest from other parts of Europe shown in their disabled pool and spa lifts, and received wide ranging enquiries. Suntrap are now looking to promoting the sale of their disabled lifts throughout mainland Europe, with new opportunities to develop business in the future.

75 MULTICYCLONE STARS FOR WATERCO

Waterco Europe gave pride of place to its MultiCyclone Plus filtration unit at Barcelona – and received an overwhelming response. “It’s been a great success,” said Waterco’s Managing Director Tony Fisher who has hopes the MultiCyclone Plus will be for the swimming pool industry what Dyson was for the vacuum cleaner industry. “It has been very well received by European buyers,” he added. The MultiCyclone Plus is an all-in- one pre-filtration/filtration unit which saves thousands of litres of water a year compared to sand filtration systems and is more energy efficient, simple to install and could well be living up to his expectations.

The product has already made a big impact on the UK market.

The Australian-designed product uses advanced hydro cyclone technology to reduce the footprint of the filtration system. It combines all of the revolutionary features of its predecessor with an inbuilt cartridge filter – and the design means the pool filtration system can be installed vertically, on top of a standard pool pump if preferred or on a base alongside the circulation pump.

MultiCyclone Plus offers the environmental benefits of cartridge filtration without the

inconvenience of frequent filter cartridge removal, cleaning and replacement as well as reducing the need for excessive volumes of water used to cleanse a traditional sand filter.

Waterco have two MultiCyclone

Plus models: the MC16(40) 2” and MC12(40) 1½” MultiCyclone Plus filtration systems. Regardless of whether you have an above-ground pool, plunge pool or an in-ground domestic 75 m³ pool, the MultiCyclone Plus has the power and capability to filter it – and in doing so it will save water and energy plus reduce maintenance. Also on show at Barcelona were the company’s fibre glass filters, Trimlime Cartridge filters and Exotuf filter designed to cope with the cyclic pressures of the modern day swimming pool.
