HOT TUB CENTRE HELPS CHILDREN’S CHRONIC ARTHRITIS ASSOCIATION The Jacuzzi hot tub centre at Webbs of Wychbold Garden Centre has launched a campaign to support a local arthritis charity. The Children’s Chronic Arthritis Association, based in Worcester, is a leading national support network for families with children suffering from juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The centre pledges to donate a sum of money for every Jacuzzi hot tub they sell this year. Hydrotherapy is frequently used in treatments for the relief of arthritic symptoms; where stimulating jet streams of water pulsate and massage aching joints. Using a hot tub is a soothing solution which relaxes muscles and improves your circulation.
Jennifer Smith, Manager at Webbs, said that: “Donating to the CCAA charity is a good opportunity for us to help those locally who need hydrotherapy and joint massage most. Most people assume that arthritis is diagnosed when you’re older, but actually 1 in every 1000 children has juvenile arthritis in the UK. I’m glad we’re in a position to help.” Juvenile arthritis is a condition where one or more joints are inflamed for at least six weeks in children under the age of 16. Inflammation of the joints accompanied by pain, swelling, warmth and redness, is caused by an auto- immune reaction, whereby the body’s immune system turns and attacks the body itself. Not forgetting their roots, Jacuzzi and their expertise in hydrotherapy massage was borne from juvenile arthritis. In 1943 Kenneth Jacuzzi developed rheumatic fever, which left him with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He was almost two years old.

Catalina Spas has put its Madi Gras swim spa on the market in the UK for just under the £10,000 mark. The 12 ft plus swim spa has two hp swim jet pumps and 18 hydrotherapy pumps and enough bench seating for 11 other people away from the swim spa.
