Print Layout Design


with InDesign This course covers the fundamental skills required for creating professional pages with InDesign. Practical projects are used to demonstrate various production scenarios. Delegates will learn how to plan, create and edit a range of documents. The online modules combine an interactive instructor-led course assessment with exercise files, real work samples, and discussion forums. Units include: selecting and using appropriate designs and page layouts for publications, inputting and combining text and other information within publications and using desktop publishing software techniques to edit and format publications.


Entry requirements: Basic word processing and a familiarity with the web as a user.


Possible next steps: Print design with Photoshop and bespoke software design with Illustrator. You will be able to take two more qualifications to achieve a full level 3 Award certification.

Web Design withAdobe Dreamweaver This course provides a comprehensive introduction to web design with Dreamweaver. Units include: creating structures and styles and using them to produce websites, selecting and using website software tools and features to develop multiple page websites with multimedia and interactive features, publishing and testing multiple page websites with multimedia and interactive features.


Entry requirements: Basic word processing, and a familiarity with the web as a user.


Possible next steps: Multimedia with Flash. You will be able to take two more qualifications to achieve a full level 3 Award certification.

Web Interactive Design


withAdobe Flash This course provides a thorough introduction to the latest version of Flash, acknowledged to be the industry standard for online delivery of graphics, animation, multimedia and interactive content. Units include: planning the content and organisation of multimedia products to meet needs, obtaining, inputting and combining content to build multimedia outcomes, using tools and techniques to build and edit multimedia content and play and present multimedia outcomes.


Entry requirements: Basic word processing and a familiarity with the web as a user.


Possible next steps: Web design with Dreamweaver. You will be able to take two more qualifications to achieve a full level 3 Award certification.
