Catering (level 3) This course is designed for people who wish to further develop their culinary skills in the area of food preparation and cooking.


Entry requirements: Level 2 hospitality course or appropriate equivalent qualification and a College interview and skills assessment.


IELTS requirements: 5.5 (minimum 5.0 in writing)


Possible next steps: HNC/HND or Foundation Degree in Hospitality Management, or employment.

HNC/HND Hospitality Management Based in our industry-standard kitchens and chic, fully licensed Hoxton Street restaurant, this Higher Education course will qualify you for a management role in the thriving hospitality industry. You may choose to follow specialist areas including culinary arts, licensed management, retail management, and food and beverage. All students must study the contemporary hospitality industry, customer service, operations and management accounting, as well as management development. You will also take part in an industry work placement. Specialist units you can choose from cover procurement, hospitality management, conferences and banqueting, food and society, contract and events, people management, quality management and marketing. You could even focus on small business enterprise to prepare you for your own business!


Entry requirements: Level 3 qualification or appropriate equivalent qualification and industry experience.

Length of course (weeks): 36 for HNC and a further 36 for HND. Hours per week: 16
