IELTS English for Academic Purposes and Vocational Purposes
Intermediate toAdvanced levels This course is designed for students who wish to progress onto academic courses in the UK and require a level of English Language proficiency.
IELTS is accepted by thousands of organisations in over 135 countries. The Academic test is designed for people who want to study or train in an English- speaking university or institutions of higher and further education. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the results of the Academic test. IELTS tests all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. You will practice listening, reading, writing and speaking in preparation for the IELTS tests.
This course is offered with flexible course start dates throughout the year and you can choose 6 week, 12 week or 18 week courses. Programme includes General English Language and units on Study Skills, academic speaking, academic listening, academic writing, academic reading and note taking. For those wishing to progress to vocational studies in the UK this course can combine English language study with lessons in your chosen vocational area. You will have the opportunity to attend vocational study classes with British students and at the same time study English to improve your language skills.

General English
Elementary toAdvanced levels The purpose of the course is to increase your ability and confidence in general English language skills. This will help assist with further study or professional development. You will have access to college facilities including computers, learning resource centre, library and student study areas, sports and cultural activities. Language skills covered include: speaking, listening, reading, writing as well as vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. For length of course, hours per week, see the International course fees list.
Entry requirements: First Certificate or Advanced (or equivalent).
