3DAnimation and Modelling with Maya This course provides a thorough introduction to computer modelling and animation using Maya. You will learn how to model, create lighting, add camera views and produce a 3D Animation using Maya 2011.


Entry requirements: Basic word processing and a familiarity with the web as a user.

CSS Cascading Style Sheets This course provides a through introduction to cascading style sheets. You will learn how to code, design and complete layouts for websites using the W3C web standards.


Entry requirements: HTML, basic word processing, and a familiarity with the web as a user.


Possible next steps: Web design with Dreamweaver and Web Interactive Design with Flash. You will be able to take 2 more qualifications to achieve a full level 3 award certification.

Designing Blogs withWord Press This course is aimed at individuals or small companies who need to build, integrate and/or maintain web content using this popular Open Source web software technology. You will learn how to use and integrate existing Word Press themes with other popular Open Source web software technologies. It provides a comprehensive introduction to web design using Open Source software.


Entry requirements: Basic word processing and a familiarity with the web as a user.

DigitalVideo Editing with Final Cut Express This course introduces Digital Video editing and extends traditional video editing techniques allowing more productive working and access to a wider range of tools. In addition, digital video can be integrated into the new digital disk and network media. The intention of this module is to provide an understanding of the theoretical and practical skills needed to work with and edit digital video. Students will develop a short project usually based on production work generated in another module or programme. The online modules combine an interactive instructor led course assessment with exercise files, real work samples, and discussion forums.
