Hornblower Hybrid

Hornblower Hybrid, the nation's largest commercial hybrid vessel, is scheduled to make its home in New York City this November. Hydrogen fuel cells, solar pan- els and wind turbines can power this 600- passenger energy-conserving vessel, which will transport guests on sightsee- ing, dinner and event cruises.

"In addition to the breakthrough technol- ogy that powers the vessel, our guests will be amazed with the innovative on-board technology,” said Terry MacRae, CEO of Hornblower Cruises and Events. "Great attention to detail went into creating this vessel, including all the high-tech fea- tures.”

The vessel incorporates sustainable mate- rials throughout the design. Its distinctive exterior features blue-tinted recycled glass exterior viewing platforms. Intimate low voltage mood lighting, aluminum wall coverings and ceiling panels and Vetrazzo countertops of recycled glass further reduce resource consumption, while cre- ating a contemporary look. Two indoor decks can accommodate a variety of con- figurations for corporate and social events, while thousands of energy effi- cient LED lights are customizable to any color scheme.

Charter and public cruise guests can also enjoy the multiple open-air decks, vessel- wide multimedia system, on-board touch- screen tablets and complimentary Wi-Fi. www.hornblower.com
