Fonthill, which feels more like a European castle than a museum, was the home of Henry C. Mercer, and every room, every hall and every turn is strikingly indicative of his creative genius.

The Mercer Museum is a grouping of towering castle houses that exhibit dra- matic displays of folk art, furnishings and tools of early America.

Peppered with romantic bed-and-break- fasts, New Hope offers elegant art gal- leries, antique shops and over 30 restau- rants. Historical attractions like the Parry Mansion and the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad add to the old-time town’s allure, helping to keep it as enchanting today as it was to so many eminent literary figures of yesteryear.
