Severn-Lamb train arrives at Omani attraction


UK-based leisure and light urban transport specialist Severn-Lamb, has deliv- ered a new electric train to one of Oman’s premier tourist attractions. The Al Hoota Cave, at the foot of the Hajar Mountains, began operating the new train for visitors in September following the attraction’s annual closure during July and August. The custom designed train carries up to 48 passengers and offers design, operational and environmental advantages over its predecessor. It is operated from one of two control cabins at either end of the unit.

Two new Timberplay areas for Kidzworld

Alongside its range of indoor play facilities, Kidzworld in St. Austell, Cornwall now boasts extensive new outdoor play equipment supplied by Timberplay. The project, part of an extensive redevelopment programme at the site, has seen the attraction grow to double its original size. Included are Smugglers’ Cove, an undercover sand and water play area featuring pumps and slides, and the Treetop Scramble, a custom built play area which challenges visitors to negotiate wobbly walkways and a rope climb to reach a steel tunnel slide. Kidzworld says both are suitable for adults as well as children.
