Dataton in art at new digital gallery


Dataton Watchout multi-image pro- duction and presentation software is managing the display of content in the Ruskin Digital Gallery at the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge Campus, UK. The gallery was created to be the first of its kind in the UK, with artwork displayed in digital format as well as al- lowing for traditional hanging. Snelling Business Systems designed the project.

DJW kit installed at Bristol’s M Shed


DJ Willrich (DJW) supplied a range of equipment for the recently opened M Shed museum in Bristol, UK. The attraction, which received over 5,000 visitors on its opening week- end, features three galleries showing the history of Bristol, from prehis- toric times to the present day. DJW installed two projections and 60 ICT points, with touch-screen computers for public interaction. The company also fitted video and audio points for visitors to select and play their own choice of sound bites and video.

Penny Press making an impression in the UAE


The UAE’s first theme park has taken delivery of six Mk4 model penny press machines, supplied by the Penny Press Factory in Scotland. The presses, which accept both notes and coins, have been custom themed to fit with the unique styling of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Each penny press features four images, with two being the same on all the presses and two being unique to each of the major attractions in the theme park.

Martin Professional light- ing equipment has been installed at the Kingdom of Dreams, a new enter- tainment destination near Delhi, India. Covering a six-acre site at the apex of the ‘golden triangle’ of Jaipur, Agra and Delhi, Kingdom of Dreams fea- tures the Nautanki Mahal and Showshaa theatres, plus a cultural and dining area known as Culture Gully. Nautanki Mahal is an 848-seat auditorium with an ornate facade designed like a palace which serves as the park’s main entertainment space. The theatre rig comprises mostly MAC 2000 series fixtures, plus Atomic 3000 strobes.
