The moves also allow us, for the first time, to co- locate G2E with two other industry conferences that can add to the breadth of attendees’ knowledge about issues of great importance to the industry worldwide. The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) Conference will run prior to G2E from Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 and bring together the world’s leading gaming attorneys, regulators, casino executives and financial experts.
The National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) Conference on Gambling and Addiction also will share space with G2E for the first time, beginning Oct. 2 and wrapping up with NCRG at G2E sessions on Oct. 4. The theme of this year’s NCRG Conference, Risk or Reward? The Impact of Technology on Treatment, Research and Responsible Gaming, will explore the various ways technology can transform how we research, understand and promote recovery from gambling disorders and other addictions. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest in gambling research and responsible gaming.
Our mantra when putting together G2E each year is “by the industry, for the industry,” and by listening to our attendees, we have been able to tailor the event and its content to their needs. Nowhere is this more evident than in this year’s conference programming, where international attendees will find a wealth of programs and sessions applicable to them and their businesses.
Once again, the iGaming Congress will return on Monday, October 3 to address the potential impact of Internet gambling legalization in the U.S. and advise the gaming market on how to react to the changing face of the industry and take advantage of new opportunities. This
program will appeal to existing offshore Internet gambling operators, as well as commercial casinos, manufacturers and more.
New to this year’s slate of Monday conferences is Social Media Boot Camp at G2E, which will help gaming industry professionals harness the power of this emerging medium and use it to grow business by fostering personal connections with customers. This full day of content will cover the basics of social networking, how to apply them to marketing campaigns and how they can produce quantifiable results.
The three-day G2E Conference also will appeal to those working in the global industry, with conference tracks like the Global Markets Forum and iGaming focusing on international issues, and tracks like Compliance, Law & Regulation, Gaming Technology, Security & Surveillance and Table Games addressing issues that are relevant to gaming professionals working in any jurisdiction.
Despite all of the changes in store for G2E 2011, there are some things that you can always expect from G2E – top-notch networking events where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the people to help grow your business and drive your career; world-class education opportunities to help you improve your business; and a show floor full of products and services that can help you build your customer base in the increasingly competitive gaming industry.
I hope you will join us in Las Vegas for G2E to experience for yourself all of the exciting changes and be a part of the world’s largest and premier gaming event.
