Tribute will bring kisses all round
DRESSED to Kill – the Oz KISS Tribute Show promises the full KISS experience – platform heels, make-up, big hair, loud guitars, drums and all the KISS classics you expect. All four members bring a wealth of
experience to the band. Founding members Small Stanley and
Suds were in another KISS tribute show called Creatures of the Night in 1991. Fast forward nearly 20 years, and with the addition of Sene Gimmons on bass and Thundercat on drums, DTK was born. The DTK show is an assault on the senses
and aims to leave the audience screaming for more.
DTK will be playing at Hexham Bowling
Club on Saturday, August 20 to help raise money for the Hunter Prostate Cancer Alliance. Also on the bill will be Newcastle band Ravaged.

be a celebration of great music with the widely known big band the Swing Kings, featuring the voices of Andrew Godbold, Karen Durand, Asha L and DJ Cotton, who will pay tribute to international star Michael Buble, playing all his hits and arrangements with the same high energy and special touch and the great big band music of the great American songbook. Songs including Cry Me a River, Fever,
Sway, Georgia, How Sweet it Is and his originals, like I Just Haven’t Met You Yet and Home. The event will support the Mrs Australia

THE international hit show Busting Out!, which has thrilled audiences of more than 300,000 in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, will return to the Hunter region this weekend. Created by Emma Powell, Busting Out!
is a laugh-out-loud, totally liberating show – part stand-up, part musical, part cabaret and all laughter. Powell also stars in the show, alongside
respected performer Bev Killick. Together, they deliver an uplifting
celebration of bouncy songs, wobbly jokes, thigh-slapping sketches and, of course, practical demonstrations of the fascinating lesser-known uses of the leading ladies’ assets. It will be performed at Toronto Workers
Club on Friday, August 19 and Wests New Lambton on Sunday, August 21.
