Miller-Heidke unplugged

AFTER nearly three years overseas, Kate Miller-Heidke returns next month for her fi rst Australian tour since 2009. It is also the fi rst “unplugged” tour she has

ever done on home soil. Audiences will be treated to a revealing

and playful series of acoustic duo shows, which have been enthralling audiences in the US, UK and Europe. The show will feature debut performances of new songs off her upcoming album, as well as classic Kate Miller-Heidke material from her previous albums. Over the past few years, she has toured the US, UK and Europe extensively, as well as playing huge festivals like Coachella and Lilith Fair. She also performed more than 150 shows

with Ben Folds and appeared on his latest album Lonely Avenue. Her electronic side project with

collaborator and husband Keir Nuttall has been making waves in the US since appearing in a commercial for the New York Lottery and being played on America’s largest radio station Z100. If electronic, acoustic and pop music

weren’t keeping her busy enough, she will soon be performing The Death of Klinghoff er with the English National Opera in its 2012 season. Her third studio album is due for release in

early 2012. Back home, though, she will play some

selected gigs, one of which will be at Lizotte’s Newcastle on Saturday, October 1.
