Sales Manager, John de la Roche said, “Hybrid has a strong commitment to introducing ways to combat waste and do what we can to operate in an environmentally responsible manner, and by linking the Let’s Do More! cartridge recycling programme to hard cash, we’re confident our customers will buy into it straight away, for whatever reasons." He carried on to highlight the process, and
at the same time confirmed the commitment that Hybrid anticipated down the line. “The cartridges can be split into four separate element - from the plastic body right down to the foil sack that holds the ink. Hybrid oversees the de-construction and sorting process prior to it going to a recycling plant and we’re enthusiastic about the customer response — after all, we’ve had any number of requests from our users for us to assist with recycling, so we know that Mimaki owners are thinking along the right environmental lines.” This has all borne fruit, not just for the
customers in being paid to recycle, but in saving a vast amount of waste from being put into landfill. Credit must go also to the Mimaki
Hybrid taking another 8,000 cartridges to its recycling plant partner.

Hybrid gives over £100,000 in free ink to Mimaki recycling scheme customers
Since its launch at Sign & Digital UK in 2008, Hybrid's pioneering Let's Do More! rebate linked cartridge recycling programme has been an extraordinary success. Keeping over 40 tonnes a year of solvent ink cartridges out of
landfill is call for praise in itself, but as Hybrid has linked the scheme to a valuable financial rebate, the environmental benefits carry a monetary one for customers too. At the beginning of 2011, Hybrid passed the extraordinary milestone of having given back over £100,000 of free ink, provided to Mimaki users up and down the country, in reward for simply keeping their spent cartridges to one side and arranging a collection by Hybrid. At the project's launch, Hybrid's National
users, for initially wanting such a scheme, so readily adopting it once Hybrid had put it in place and for working with Hybrid to implement it in as green and low carbon way as possible. To sign up for the scheme, you need to simply be a Mimaki
customer using SS21, SS2 or HS3 inks in cartridge form. Head over to the Let's Do More website (
www.LetsDoMore.co.uk) apply for the scheme on line and keep your cartridges to one side as they become used. What could be simpler? Further information can also be found on the range of Hybrid products by visiting
