Tekcel CNC routers celebrated 10 consecutive years of appearing at the Sign UK exhibition with a show stopping display of routing, cutting and engraving this year. This year, Tekcel CNC Solutions
presented CNC technology, CNC cutters and sample output in equal measure on its stand. At the heart of the stand stood a fully loaded 3m x 2m Tekcel CNC router, featuring a powerful, 8kW Auto Tool Change cutting spindle, an OptCAM digital print registration and the OptiCUT knife cutting and creasing options. Tekcel demonstrated how simple
it is for its CNC routers to cut pre-printed, Alupanel aluminium composite materials (ACM) in one pass at traverse speeds of up to 24 metres per minute. Tekcel also gave visitors a working knowledge of how to fold and cut Alupanel ACM into fret cut, box sign trays and how to cut matching, ‘push fit’, Perspex acrylic inlays with stepped shoulders. exceptionally smooth, polished finish of the routed samples produced on our stand were the direct result of our advanced CNC routing technology, our new range of polished finish CP cutters and the excellent machining properties of the Perspex and Alupanel sheet materials that we were using.” Tekcel also used Sign UK to showcase the special editions of Vectric V Carve Pro and Aspire 3D CAD/CAM software
that have been developed to work seamlessly with its range of CNC routing and cutting systems. The control and precision exerted by Tekcel’s unique digital servo ballscrew drive systems could be seen in the stunning 3D samples that Tekcel had produced for the exhibition using Aspire 3D software and Sign Block material.
