Darren Cross set up Signs 2 Suit in 1994, starting off in his parents’ shed with just a 300mm plotter and an old PC. But now, some 17 years on he has a team of three working with him in a purpose built workshop and runs the latest high performance computers, state of the art design software and Roland printer / cutters to give customers the best possible quality and service. Everyone at Signs 2 Suit prides themselves on offering
a reliable service and great communication, along with a fast turnaround right from design to installation. “As 80% of our work load is repeat customers,
recommendations and contracts, we must be doing something right,” says Darren. “We specialise in vehicle livery which covers anything from cars and vans right through to airplanes and coaches. We also do a whole lot of other signage including banners, shop fronts, digital flatbed printing, aluminium signs, pavement signs, magnetic signs, school signage, LEDs; you name it we can do it. “We’re based on the sunny coast of Poole, Dorset, only five
minutes from the famous Millionaires’ Row in Sandbanks so we do a lot of boat graphics and livery. It’s very nice work when the sun is shining, but a total nightmare if it’s windy and raining – good job we love a challenge! “Our customers are based mainly in Dorset and Hampshire
but we supply and fit signs all over the British Isles and Europe. Due to our very successful website we have never been so
busy, even through this recession. Our clients range from the local builder right through to the likes of Sony Music, Coca Cola and Guinness, keeping our work both interesting and exciting because we never have two days the same.” Signs 2 Suit has just invested in a sister company, Personalised Gifts 2 Suit, a sublimation business and is now able to offer clients a whole range of promotional products including personalised mouse mats, key rings, hand bags, t-shirts, mugs, bottle openers, all with company logos or slogans on. Darren says the investment is already proving successful in just a short period of time and keeping his team very busy. “But not too busy to enjoy the weather and lifestyle we
