PROJECT News
Grayers Graphics produced the floor graphics pictured for the first NBA League game ever to be played in the O2 Arena in London. Paul Grayer of Grayers Graphics takes up the story:
“All the designs were provided, ready vectored for the exact material in each case and our client wanted the best of the best so they specified 3M media. We printed and cut using our Versacamms and Roland’s Eco-Sol Max inks. The largest graphic was 8m by 4.5m; we had to produce that one in several pieces.” Eco-Sol Max inks offer good productivity through fast
drying times on a wide range of substrates, their high density and wide colour gamut were perfect for the colourful NBA images. In the O2, Paul and his team applied the graphics dry to the wooden floor that had been laid specifically for the match, floor and graphics were then both varnished.
NBA match is a winner for Grayers Graphics
The O2 Arena was completely transformed
for the game between the Jersey Nets and the Toronto Raptors with massive screens, lots of pyrotechnics, and even a dance troupe. “Our client, the NBA, was really happy with everything
we did,” says Paul. “We’re the first and only UK graphics company that has ever worked with the NBA. We’ve produced graphics for charity basketball matches played at the O2 over the last three years and are delighted to be involved in the first NBA League match in the Arena.”
On this occasion, the Jersey Nets had a historic
116-103 win over the Toronto Raptors. Based in Grays, Essex, Grayers Graphics provides
a range of sign making services including car and van signage, vehicle wraps, bike graphics, vinyl letters and stickers, exhibition banners, shop signage, acrylic letters, safety signs, flyer design, and t-shirt printing. Go to website
