Hyndburn Borough Council have awarded The Great Harwood Show a Big Society grant for 2011. It is being used to improve the facilities at the showground in a way that ensures that the local community as a whole will benefit as much as possible. The Society has also been awarded grant funding through the Lancashire County Council Local Member Grants Scheme, enabling ring stakes and all-weather matting for this years snow.
