NBHA World Show

The NBHA World show was a huge success in its new location in Perry Geor- gia. Everyone raved about the new facili- ty and how great it was to not have to move back and forth from the show arena to the stalls. The Canadian contingent was well represented and was extremely successful.

NBHA Canada Ontario Director to China

NBHAC Ontario Director Chris Blane recently returned home from a one month stay in China where he was riding and helping fel- low barrel racers. Chris had met them at a previous International Rid- ing Competition in Italy and was invited to visit China. He went for a one week stay in September and returned for the month of November to help them with various horses and issues. He was also able to source them tack and bits which are very difficult to find in China and had them shipped there from Canada. They are very appreciative of the help and are hoping to come here to see barrel racing in Ontario this summer. Congratulations Chris

Can Am Equine Emporium All Set To Go for 2011

By Kelly Bowers

The London Western Fairgrounds will soon be buzzing again with horse talk. On March 18th, 19th and 20th, 2011, CanAm Equine Emporium will again be held at the suit- able London venue and will feature many new ini- tiatives for the horse enthu- siast! One of the most exciting news was announced by Ross Millar, president of Canam recent- ly. It seems that Amber Marshall will be honoured in a ceremony held during the exciting weekend. Amber is best known and has won the hearts of worldwide TV audiences for her starring role in the CBC hit TV series, Heart- land. She is a respected actress, horseperson, celebrity, and young role model for even younger girls. This would seem to

be a suitable tribute for Amber who was actually raised in London, Ontario and still has family and friends in the area. Amber is looking forward to com- ing home and excited to be honored at the Can Am Equine Emporium. A huge thrill for fans, Amber will make a public appearance on Sunday to see friends, meet fans and sign auto- graphs.

For the lifelong stu- dent hiding inside us all, the price of admission to Canam includes the unique opportunity to learn from a variety of clinicians in seminars held throughout the weekend.

able units open to the pub- lic. Bigger is better and Canam will see many new vendors this year with over 120,000 sq ft. of shopping and close to 200 exhibitors. As we all know, Canam is really “all about the horse” and “Ram” Stal- lion Avenue will showcase many of Ontario’s top Stal- lions. If you like a bit of action, Home Hardware is presenting a schedule of expanded FREE daytime Extravaganzas. This means lots of horses and lots of exciting family entertain- ment for the entire week- end.

The “Great Can Am Tack and Trailer Sale” will return. With Can- Am becoming Canadas #1 place to stop and shop trail- ers, plans are to expand the area for even more avail-

Entrance to Can Am will be $20. for adults, $15. for youth and kids 6 and under for only $5. Sched- uled highlights will be added weekly on www.canamequine.ca as they become available.
