The dreaded August holiday period is at last over and our dedicated board-treaders have now swapped their sun screen lotions for greasepaint. Groups, Companies, and Societies are already planning their next productions that range from Cabaret to classic drama and pantomime to operetta and typical British farce. They all welcome new members with open arms – so if you want to be part of your local community and raise funds for charity whilst enjoying yourselves, pop along to your local theatre and meet the Luvvies.
Calpe Gilbert & Sullivan Society Rehearsals start on September 15th
for
the October International Festival in Benissa and Casa de Cultura Calpe where they will sing favourite extracts from the operas. On 18th
September
auditions will be held for 2011 performance of HMS Pinafore.

Cameo Their new 2011 production is now on the blocks. May seem a long way off, but so much goes into the meticulous planning of this adventurous cabaret company that rehearsals are just about to commence. But they have a problem – men are needed to

Dramatic Licence With members having returned from holidays, the play reading committee have resumed their deliberations in preparation for the November production.
