Musical Inspiration Leads To Help For Abandoned Animals

Abandoned dogs in the Costa Blanca South have something to woof about! Costa Musica, The British Music School in Spain, has opened a new centre in Orihuela Costa, located in the upstairs conference room at the New Asturias Restaurant. While moving instruments and equipment including a professional Grand Piano into the new location, the Directors found themselves with a large number of items that they no longer needed.

As a result, they have donated this collection of items, including music books and recordings, to PADS, a registered charity based in Pilar de la Horadada.

PADS is a charity which rescues, cares for and re-homes abandoned dogs, and they have a busy charity shop in the town. The money raised from Costa Musica’s donation will go towards food and shelter for abandoned dogs being cared for in the charity’s kennels at Benferri. PADS President Adele Kippen is delighted with the donation.

Sarah, the Director of Costa Musica, agreed, saying, ‘We have long been supporters of the important work carried out by PADS volunteers. We are delighted to be contributing to their work, and we feel very happy to be involved in what we feel is a good example of the way that the charity and business worlds can work together’. More information on individual and group music lessons is available on the Costa Musica website at www.costamusica.com, or those interested can call the Office on 648 814 599.

If you’d like to help PADS, you can let them know if you have any bric-a-brac or furniture you’d like to donate to the shop. Larger items of furniture can be collected from your home.
