three-CD digitally re-mastered collection of all of Andy Bell and Vince Clarke’s
singles spanning the years from the very beginning of their career in 1986 start-
ing with their first single “Who Needs Love (Like That)” and going forward a good
40 songs later encompassed on two CDs. Their distinctive sound and lust for life
have made Erasure one of the most recognizable and enduring British pop duos
of all time. Wait! There’s more. The third CD presents 15 rare live performances
between 1987 and 2007. Erasureheads, that’s not all. Also on Total Pop! is a DVD
which showcases their BBC appearances between 1985 and 2005. Vince Clarke
recently described the group’s longevity by saying, “We get on really
well. I think that when we both decide to sit down in a room and write
a song there’s a real excitement in there because both of us, we don’t
know what we’re doing (laughs). We don’t have a plan. We just sit down
with a guitar and a tape recorder and then something does happen.
