Four Flicks To Check Out
Observe and repOrt
After swarming to theaters for the PG-rated box office smash Mall Cop, is
the country ready for an R-rated version? It may be safe to assume it is, with
comedy’s man of the moment Seth Rogen leading the way. Yes, it will be
Rogen this time in a role very similar to the one Kevin James made famous
recently in Mall Cop. This time we witness the antics of a wacky shopping
mall security guard in charge of tracking down a flasher whose been run-
ning off shoppers as well as the beautiful co-worker who he happens to
be infatuated with. The picture also stars House Bunny’s Anna Faris and Ray
Liotta as a police detective investigating the same crime.
Observe and Report starts April 10th and is rated R.

Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck headline in this suspense
thriller as an investigative reporter and up-and-coming congressman on
opposite sides of a Capitol Hill scandal involving a brutal murder of the con-
gressman’s mistress. Director Kevin MacDonald, of The Last King of Scotland
fame, brings this critically acclaimed BBC mini-series to American audiences
with a supporting cast that boasts such high-profile names as Helen Mirren,
Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright Penn and Jason Bateman. State of Play is a
very topical film sure to generate a lot of interest and looks to be a sure bet
for fans of thinking-man action flicks.
State of Play starts April 17th and is rated PG-13.
