customisable light and sound spectacle that enables operators to sync an entire bank of machines. Mr. Nistler demonstrated the attract mode at G2E with a connected bank of cabinets linked to a series of loudspeakers turned to up to 11, with each of the S3000s pulsing their LEDs in synch with the music.
“Players continue to play our S2000 games,” said Mr. Nistler of the rationale behind the S3000 cabinet. “We’re looking to refresh floors with classic themes such as Double Diamond, Double Gold, Wild Cherry and Super Times Pay; games that will migrate the S2000 player group to the S3000. They are aimed at those players who still love their spinning reel games and enjoy the entertainment of the penny machines. However, this time we can add so much more with the top screen; poker games, roulette, bonuses etc.”
IGT offers both single line games and 5-line games at present, which will be joined by 25 line games later this year, all connectable to a jackpot mode. “We are seeing 35-40 per cent of US casino floors continue with mechanical reels, and the S2000 games are still holding on to the floors in major quantities,” stated Mr. Nistler. “The S3000 is targeting stepper players and video slots players. We are going to see a cross-over of play with the S3000. We can go up to 20 credits with

customised denominations and there are attract modes for the games (which are easy to hook up and require no controller) that will help draw new players to this stunning cabinet and games.”
WHEEL OF FORTUNE - JACKPOT PARADISE AND ULTRA WHEELS A new Wheel of Fortune game is always reason to celebrate and this year’s G2E saw the launch of two new titles. Jackpot Paradise on the 42ins. CrystalCore Cabinet brings a host of interactive elements to the bonus features. Rather than simply triggering a spin of the wheel, players can dynamically touch the wheel, gently rocking it back and forth before releasing it, just as they would a live wheel; while a new in-game feature allows the WAP to be won directly from the bonus game. Wheel Of Fortune Ultra Wheels is a multi-play title that allows players to play multiple wheels at the same time, carrying the
wheel dynamic over multiple games with the same interactive wheel bonus.
POWERBUCKS POWERHITS IGT’s Powerbucks Powerhits was created to
deliver more jackpots more often and looks truly impressive on the Crystal Core 42ins. cabinet. As the player wagers up, they can see the winning window expanding, strongly motivating the player to enhance their bet to achieve the maximum winning possibilities. Powerbucks Powerhits is also available on tablet and mobile and is inter-state connected, with players eligible for million dollar prizes across all the bet levels in the game.
KING REELS King Reels is one of those concepts that makes
you wonder why it hasn’t been done before. Utilising the landscape from both the base and the top monitor, the two screens are filled with reels as part of 90 line games. IGT showed two titles in the series at G2E, Farmer’s Daughter and Turquoise Princess, both of which displayed one set of reels progressing from the top screen to the base game screen. The lower the bet level the less reel estate is available to the player, which graphically shows the player what they’re missing. It’s a simple idea beautifully executed and one of the stand-outs of the show.
