IGT covered every base at G2E with big licences, refreshed classics, dynamic new gaming mechanics and brand new iterations of perennial favourites

The centrepiece of the IGT stand at G2E was the gaming giant’s latest major licence - The Ellen DeGeneres Show. IGT showed two different Ellen DeGeneres Show launch titles at G2E, Dance Party and 12 Days of Giveaways, with related bonus features inspired directly from the Emmy award- winning TV show. IGT has embedded what it describes as ‘agile methodology’ in the bonus rounds with interactive elements ramping up the entertainment factor of the games, while lead writers from the TV show have worked with IGT developers to create an authentic new experience that fans will instantly recognise.

“We’ve brought the personality and feel of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to these games, creating two games to create variety and better banking options for operators on their floors,” explained IGT’s Phil O’Shaughnessy at G2E. “We have taken game-inspired elements from the TV show, such as Wheel of Riches, to create perfect mini-games within the bonuses; while the 12 Days of Giveaways, which is a hugely popular annual event on the show, is reproduced using different

multipliers in the game to incorporate the fun and excitement of the real thing.”

The widely anticipated games are housed within IGT’s impressive CrystalCore cabinet. Boasting exceptional sound and visuals on a pristine 42ins. vertical touchscreen display, the pair of games

deliver on the entertainment and fun themes of the show. “In creating these games, we started by looking at how the themes from the show could translate into the slot environment,” added Mr. O’Shaughnessy. “’Laugh, dance, play’ - these were the elements that we wanted to incorporate into the game development and with both of these themes I think the team has done an amazing job.”

cabinet, IGT’s Nick Nistler demonstrated the new S3000 cabinet at G2E. Sporting many of the most popular titles from the S2000 cabinet, which has become a staple of practically every casino floor across the world, the sparkling new cabinet features over 600 intelligent LED lights and the very latest touchscreen functionality. The S3000 launched with 30 ported legacy games and 20+ new games, providing a portfolio of over 50 new and classic games from the outset.

“Everything from the lighting, attract modes and bonusing can be scaled up and down,” explained Mr. Nistler. “Games on the S3000 can be both fast-paced and exhilarating, or much calmer and sedate to match player preferences. We have enjoyed massive player loyalty towards the S2000 and are looking to carry over that dedication to the new cabinet, which is a more expansive, bolder version of the same cabinet players love. We’ve had the designer of S2000 working on the S3000 to make sure that we carry across the same tone and formula into this new iteration.”

Integrating stepper-style classic three-reel games and five-reel multiline games with powerful digital effects, S3000 provides a
