In 2009 we launched Old Skool Studios as a sister company to LM Design Werks so that we could focus on the development of our own gaming properties.

working with Odobo
“For the past four years, we’ve been creating beautiful, innovative casino games for our clients through LM Design Werks. While we thrive as an outsourced game development partner, we’ve always been focused on a vision of devel- oping and licensing our own properties. We launched Old Skool Studios because we really want to push the innovation envelope with our own gaming content. When we met with Odobo in early 2013, we knew we’d found the perfect part- ner to bring our games to regulated markets. We chose Odobo because they share our vision of innovation, quality, and seamless gaming experiences for the world’s top-tier operators. With Odobo ‘s marketing support and handling of reg- ulation and platform distribution, we’re able to stay focused on our studio’s core strengths. We feel fortunate to be one of the first development studios accepted into their developer program. The fit has been exceptional, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our working relationship. Currently under development, Epic City is a highly ambitious and incredi- bly unique slot title that we and Odobo are both tremendously excited about. With a sister title already in the works, we’re banking on the success of Epic City to establish ourselves as a leading brand in the RMG market. We plan to build a thriving business around the Odobo Platform.”
Inspired by the past, Epic City is an exciting new futurist themed slot game from Old Skool Studios where your players rediscover the Golden Age & Glamour of the Thirties. This game sends players to the City of Tomorrow, where they take their shot as the Magnate of Epic City to amass wealth and power. The game centers on a gleaming gold, silver & bronze Art Deco monument that transforms in front of their very eyes. Featuring a five stage progressive nighttime bonus that kicks things off with a dramatic lightning storm, players restore power to their city by re-setting fuses & switches to reveal Prizes, Win-Alls, Advances & Collects. An exciting Free Games feature kicks off with a multiplier wheel-spin mini-game, and offers up to 10X Multiplier with extra Stacked Wilds and retriggering. They can also place their bet on the coloured orbs and give the Gamble wheel a spin for a 50/50 shot at doubling their winnings. Glorious airships, sweeping spotlights, and big win animations heighten the excitement. Developed in HTML5, this 5 reel, 20 payline slot will be available for all devices in 2014 for licensed operators through the Odobo Platform.
comments from Ashley Lang
“Our vision for Odobo has always been to reduce the barriers of participation for game development within real money gaming. This encourages a wider range of talented studios to get involved in the development of innovative new games for the regulated gambling industry. Old Skool Studios are a great example of a talented studio gaining access to a new business opportunity through the Odobo developer program. With iOS and Facebook, some of the most successful games were produced by studios that were previously behind the scenes and who were given a new opportunity to become a publisher of their own branded games within these developer programs.
As a result companies such as Zynga, Rovio, and Zepto Labs have become some of the most successful game studios in social and casual gaming. Odobo represents the same opportunity in real money gambling and talented first- mover studios like Old Skool have a great opportunity to become the future success stories for the regulated gam- bling industry.”
