working with Odobo

Core have a wealth of experience developing a considerable number of big title games on many platforms. "Working with Odobo’s platform has been a breath of fresh air.”

The GDK provides some great features saving the developer days maybe even weeks of coding time - asset loading, sound management and orientation handling to name a few. The development, build and submission process is designed around node.js and Git - it is quick, simple and well thought out. Bug tracking is managed through Jira - another very smart, easy to use yet powerful approach. Best of all, everything is well documented. After all, it doesn't matter how great your products and services are if you cannot share them effectively - Odobo is very good at commu- nicating with the developer.

Of course, nothing is perfect. But Odobo is always keen to listen and quick to respond. Every single person from Odobo we have spoken with has been professional and polite yet relaxed and friendly.

It is also comforting in the extremely fast moving mobile space to work with a company that you know is technically capable and ambitious and always looking not only to improve what's currently being provided but also look ahead to embrace wholly new techniques.

Odobo have made efforts like no other platform provider I’m familiar with to make the developer feel that getting the game to market is much more a joint venture, a partnership.

Although Core may be early on in its journey with Odobo, the potential is clear and the future opportunities are cer- tainly exciting as a distribution channel".

comments from Ashley Lang

“We believe our partnership with Core has been beneficial for both sides. We have gained from their experience and come to understand the challenges they faced previously regarding content production and distribution. The feed- back we receive from developers is extremely valuable as we seek to constantly improve our Developer Program. This feedback has led to further development and the implementation of tools and processes to remove common hurdles in the production, QA and the certification process.

“We know we need to work hard to win the support of experienced studios like Core. Core has built up a strong rep- utation in the industry as evidenced by their top-tier client list. We are proud to have Core as a development partner with Odobo and to have them recommend Odobo to their Operator partners as a preferred platform by which they can deliver their games.”
