Word of mouth spread and Sensarama expanded into new markets, sectors and countries. Today, Sensarama has created corporate aromas for shoe chains, spas, hotels, supermarkets and, of course, casinos.
Sensarama’s first gaming project took place in South Africa for Sun International’s Carnival City Casino near Johannesburg. Further projects fol- lowed in Bulgaria and Ukraine. One of the most significant projects was with Novomatic, at the Prater in Vienna, one of the most successful gaming loca- tions in Europe.
Mario Pirzl has also made numerous presentations at the Slot Summits. The light-hearted, yet professional and extremely detailed approach has made the Sensarama presentation a favourite here. The first testimonies have also been gathered from Casino Hannover, Casino Lübeck and Casino Wiesbaden, all in Germany. Casino Wiesbaden in particular has proved to be an excellent reference for Sensarama. Casino Wiesbaden is one of the most renown, pop- ular and beautiful casinos in Europe, not just in Germany. The casino has been fascinating people for over 240 years. Many famous people have visit- ed the casino, including emperors, kings, artists and musicians. Fjodor Dostojewski and Richard Wagner enjoyed visiting the casino in their time.
Sensaram’s task was to create a unique aroma for this grand casino. There were specific goals to achieve, including masking the scent of food from the restaurant on the gaming floor. The corporate aroma was introduced to the slots hall in 2011 and widened to include the live games at the beginning of 2013. Siamak Houshmand is the slots manager at Casino Wiesbaden and noted: “Our guests often state how pleasant it smells in our casino and that this aroma is unique. The corporate aroma from Sensarama plays an impor- tant role in our focus on excellent customer service.”
