NXL 24-A
IT’S… A full-range active column speaker array system composed of four 6in high- power woofers and a 2.5in voice coil compression driver loaded from a waveguide on a 100° x 30° constant directivity horn.
DETAILS: The amplifier delivers 1,400W and is controlled by a DSP that takes care of crossover, equalisation, phase alignment, soft limiting and speaker protections. Equalisations are available to operate with a single column or in pairs.

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC 8000 SERIES
IT’S… An upgrade of Mitsubishi’s premium installation projector series, designed for high- end installations and large-venue applications.
DETAILS: The DLP-based 8000 Series has models available from XGA to WUXGA, improved brightness up to 8,500 ANSI lumens, a 2,800:1 contrast ratio and some options that enable performance to be fine-tuned to the application, such as custom colour wheels. Patented onboard technologies include an image processing algorithm that can extrapolate high-definition data missing from source material. Dynamic Contrast Correction prevents loss of detail at both ends of the dynamic range, while Mitsubishi’s Natural Colour Matrix allows intermediate colours – yellow, cyan and magenta – to be controlled independently of red, green and blue. The 8000 Series’ heat-pipe cooling system
keeps the lamp housing cool without drawing power, saving money and space. In addition to high levels of reliability, other benefits claimed by the manufacturer include operation below

DETAILS: The ‘industrial- strength’ 128x128 DM Switcher is designed to manage the high-definition and analogue AV distribution requirements of large facilities, such as stadiums, arenas, university campuses and global enterprises. Similar in architecture and

The GUI on the inbuilt
touchscreen provides an alternative to a PC for local switcher configuration and troubleshooting. For remote access, the same front panel user interface can be extended to any PC web browser, with no need for custom software. Each I/O blade provides eight inputs or outputs of any one type, plus copper and fibre I/O can be integrated on the same platform. Operators can monitor each blade, fan tray and power supply, troubleshoot every signal path in detail and load custom EDID settings.
AND ALSO: I/O blades are hot- swappable, making it a simple matter to configure, modify and upgrade a DM system in the field. There will be input and output blades to support HDMI, HDBaseT, multimode fibre and single-mode fibre.
