Cranberry warehouse: HO scale Mfd. by Mount Blue Model Co., P.O. Box 460, White Horse Beach, MA 02381; www.mountbluemodelco.com. Mount Blue Model Company has re- leased a laser-cut model of a small HO Scale structure called the Cranberry Warehouse. It is a frame structure with wood shingles and a metal roof, and sits off the ground on a series of square wooden posts. The interior arrangement has a dividing wall be- tween the warehouse area and the of- fice/workshop. The main warehouse has windows in the peaked end walls,

suggesting that there is a second floor above the warehouse.

The assembly is straightforward, with most of the parts laser-cut to the correct dimensions. Starting with the floor and foundation, the sub-floor is precut with locations for each of the foundation posts. The sub-floor is ce- mented to the upper floor, followed by placing the foundation posts into the pockets created by the sandwiched floor sheets.

The windows are assembled ten at a

time by overlaying the three sheets of window parts, upper sash, lower sash and exterior trim. After the three sec- tions are assembled, the ten assembled windows are removed from the window sheets.

The balance of the build-up goes ac- cording to plan with no surprises. I chose to color the shingle siding with a thin wash of Floquil ATSF Mineral Brown, and trimmed out the doors,
