Vector analysis for base curves of boat’s profile is presented on fig.4a, based on method presented in [19] by Prof. Pavluchenko. This method is widely used in classic naval architecture and is suitable for elongated objects with highly fragmented exteriors, such as ships. With major slopes changing progressively at forward half (a feature of dynamics) and aft slopes with similar angles (reliability feeling gained through uniformity) the craft’s silhouette

signature. Another method studied is focal point analysis (fig.4b) that seems more characteristic for industrial design and also styling of yachts. It can be seen that boat’s profile is ‘stretched’ between forward and aft focal points, and shift of top focal point aft provides the sense of motion when stationary.

Bow shape of craft provides maximum space for front cockpit, with forepeak access hatches under settees. Visual volume of cabin is reduced by combination of glazing, textures and colours; carbon-textured inserts and logo split almost continuous glass. Shape of the mast is what we call ‘pyramid arch’ with adequate space and height for radar scanner and satellite TV dome. Stern area provides minimal obstruction with plenty of storage under deck and seats, attachments. Important
