If you want to switch things up, cat lover Dillon Francis is playing at The Hoxton as part of his Wurld Turr with Oliver on the 28th. The masta blasta’s sets are very diverse because he incorperates a variety of genres includ- ing moombahton, dubstep and trap and it definitely will be mad decent. However, if Dillon Francis’ sound is not your cup of tea – or in his case – not your kind of taco, Dubplate Special presents Rumble In The Jungle featur- ing Marcus Visionary and Nicky Blackmarket who are going back to back for the first time in history. The event at The Annex Wreckroom with local vets Mr. Brown and Rick Toxic, along with MC JD and MC LAL will certainly fulfill Torontonians’ drum and bass needs.
Friday March 29th is when bass-heads should power up the bass cannons. 100,000 watts of bone crushing sound to smack attendees in the face will be brought by none other than Excision, Paper Diamond and Vaski. The PK Sound rig is back at Kool Haus and will leave party-goers hearts and ears thumping with the grimiest bass one can possibly dream of. With Excision also bringing hisExecutioner stage set up, the audio along with the visuals will be like a virtual apocalypse. Can you handle that?
Last but certainly not the least, the closing event will be the World of Drum & Bass show that will feature the exquisite old school sounds of Grooverid- er, DJ SS, Skibadee and many more. These pioneers are going to unleash all kinds of unique drum and bass at The Annex Wreckroom that will be the perfect ending to a very memorable week.
Destiny has been bringing Ontario some of the biggest names in bass music for 20 years. Since their partnership with Electronic Nation, the names have only gotten bigger and Bass Week has become one of the best pre- quels to festival season while living in the great white north. It’s become a place where people unite and where the power of music is felt in one’s mind, body and soul. The worst part about Bass Week is when the last DJ plays his closing record and the sound system slowly reduces in decibels to end the event. Come and join thousands of bass-heads in a celebration of our beloved music and culture. You won’t regret it!
