DERMATUDE

Application Chemical peels The new SkinCeuticals Peel Portfolio offers a full spectrum of peels for a range of customer requirements. It is a progressive programme of superficial to deeper peels, enabling even a sensitive skin type to be introduced to a mild resurfacing treatment. The epidermal peels form a key element in a preventative, protective and corrective skin care regime and have been well received by the medical community. Two new clinical grade peels in the portfolio are Skinceuticals Micropeel 20 and 30, which have a graduated strength containing 20% and 30% unbuffered glycolic acid with a pH of 1.4. Glycolic Peels between 20%–30% are measured as ‘clinical’ chemical peels of a superficial epidermal depth nature and will generally show minimal post treatment sheathing of the skin with a downtime of only two or three days. They address sun damaged, prematurely aged skin and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst brightening the appearance of overall skin tone. The peels should be applied in a course of four to six sessions carried out every two to four weeks (depending on skin type, healing capacity and sensitivity) or in combination with other clinical procedures or treatments.

META THERAPY

Application Face, neck, and décolleté rejuvenation Meta Therapy is the newest innovation in skin rejuvenation and skin improvement. Developed by Dermatude in the Netherlands, Meta Therapy stands for Medical & Esthetical Tissue Activating Therapy and combines a number of skin improvement methods into a single technique for rejuvenating, improving, hydrating, and repairing skin. This invasive treatment makes micro-perforations into the upper layer of the dermis. As a result, the skin activates its natural repair mechanism and starts producing collagen and elastin to repair the micro-perforations. The precise depth adjustment of the micro-perforations allows for the right cell layers to be reached and ensures they are made in a painless way. Meta Therapy has a double active function; the controlled micro-perforations activate the natural regeneration of the skin and applies the exact amount of active ingredients in the layer of the skin where they can be most active. The self-repairing property of the skin is a 100% natural form of skin renewal from the inside out.
